Single-Use Technologies for Liquid Preparation
Liquid handling operations are increasingly moving to the use of disposable systems to maintain product purity and integrity. Single-use solutions reduce the need for expensive and time-consuming clean-in-place, steam-in-place (CIP/SIP) operations. The Thermo Scientific HyClone Single Single-Use Mixer (S.U.M.) is part of a product family which provides a complete system for efficient and powerful mixing based on a conventional stirred-tank design for a wide range of applications.
The HyClone® S.U.M. offers a disposable alternative for traditional stirred-tank mixing in working volumes from 10 L to 1000 L. The S.U.M. is intended for powder-liquid and liquid-liquid closed system mixing of critical materials with sterile single-use contact surfaces. To facilitate powder delivery, the Thermo Scientific HyClone Powdertainer II provides a single-use system for packaging and handling powders in sizes up to 25 kg.
For quick preparation of liquid solutions, Nalgene® tank liners and cylindrical tanks offer quick, single-use systems. Available in volumes up to 780 L, the combination of cost-effective tank liners and high-density polyethylene cylindrical tanks enable preparation of a variety of bioprocessing fluids using traditional mixing systems.
